Data & Analytics Office (DAO) - Group Data Management
HSBC is looking for a passionate and experienced Data & Analytics professional to join our Data & Analytics Office (DAO) team!
The Opportunity:
- Be part of a team transforming HSBC into a data-driven organization.
- Play a key role in implementing the Group Data Strategy.
- Ensure data is well-defined, controlled, and managed for optimal use.
- Partner with businesses and IT to deliver strategic data capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and translate business needs into long-term data solutions.
- Create and manage a central Business Data Glossary.
- Develop data models using HSBC's Metadata methodology.
- Document data standards, business rules, and data quality procedures.
- Support data governance initiatives using Collibra, a data governance platform.
- Build self-service data visualization tools to generate insights.
- Advise stakeholders on data lineage and trusted data sources.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams on metadata analysis and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, information systems).
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data governance.
- Knowledge of Collibra and data quality assessment methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of financial services and banking operations (preferred).
