In this role, you will play a key role in integrating new carriers and shipping methods into our network, while also collaborating on various software projects to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business and operations teams to gather and analyze shipping carrier requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain transportation documents like shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
- Collaborate with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects.
- Update and enhance existing software, automate manual processes, and document systems.
- Identify and implement solutions to prevent potential issues and outages.
- Prioritize projects effectively, make sound judgments, and contribute to an improved customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C++, C#) or scripting language (SQL, Python, etc.).
- Ability to write clean code and solve basic data structure and algorithm problems.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including design, testing, version control, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in software development and handling highly scalable systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies (S3, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Ability to understand business objectives and how technology contributes to achieving them.
