Job Description:

HCLTech is currently hiring for the position of Graduate Trainee in the Global Service Desk department. As a Graduate Trainee, you will be responsible for providing hardware/software/network problem diagnosis and resolution to customers via telephone, email, and chat. You will route problems to internal IT support staff and manage relationships with vendors for problem resolution. Additionally, you will administer user account provisioning, document problems, and work requests, and respond to user inquiries through various communication channels. You will also perform remote desktop support and assist in the evaluation and setup of software products. This role requires good communication skills, and knowledge of MS Office Suite, Windows Operating systems, and remote desktop connectivity applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide hardware/software/network problem diagnosis/resolution to end users

- Route problems to internal IT support staff

- Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors for problem resolution

- Administer and provide user account provisioning

- Use the Incident Management System to document and manage problems and work requests

- Respond to user inquiries via telephone, email, instant messages, and assigned tickets

- Perform remote desktop support and other activities based on SOPs

- Troubleshoot client software and basic network connectivity problems

- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer problems and complaints

- Participate in ongoing training and departmental development

- Provide all required documentation including standards, configurations, and diagrams

- Perform user, privileged, and supplier access reviews (Governance)

- Enable users to work more efficiently and effectively with IT solutions

- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and support capabilities

Requirements:

- Good communication skills

- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (XP, 2003, 2007)

- Knowledge of Windows Operating systems

- Knowledge of remote desktop connectivity applications

- Disciplined and systematic problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange

- Proactive attitude
