Job Title: Agniveer (MR) - 02/2023 Batch Recruitment


Job Description:

The Indian Navy is inviting online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for the Agniveer (MR) - 02/2023 Batch. The recruitment is for a total of 100 vacancies, including a maximum of 20 female candidates. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the position. The job entails enrollment as Agniveer (MR) in the Indian Navy for a period of four years, with the possibility of permanent enrollment based on performance.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Conducting computer-based online examination (INET) for shortlisting candidates.

2. Administering written examinations, Physical Fitness Tests (PFT), and Recruitment Medical Examination for shortlisted candidates.

3. Shortlisting candidates based on the marks obtained in the Indian Navy Entrance Test.

4. Conducting Stage-II written examination, PFT, and Recruitment Medical Examination at designated centers.

5. Ensuring adherence to eligibility conditions and educational qualifications.

6. Verifying original documents, certificates, and mark sheets of candidates at various stages of recruitment.

7. Determining the cut-off marks for shortlisting candidates for the next stage of the selection process.

8. Enrolling selected candidates as Agniveer (MR) in the Indian Navy under the Navy Act 1957.

9. Providing training to the selected candidates at INS Chilka, Odisha.

10. Assessing the physical fitness, medical fitness, and visual standards of candidates.

11. Maintaining communication with candidates through electronic mode.

12. Issuing call-up letters, admit cards, and results to the candidates.

13. Ensuring compliance with the recruitment process and guidelines set by the Indian Navy.


Job Requirements:

1. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for the position.

2. Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination from recognized Boards of School Education.

3. The age of the candidates should be between 01 Nov 2002 - 30 Apr 2006 (Both dates inclusive).

4. Candidates must meet the minimum height standards and visual standards as prescribed by the Indian Navy.

5. Proficiency in sports, swimming, and extra-curricular activities is desirable.

6. Candidates should be in good physical and mental health, free from any disease or disability that may hinder their performance.

7. Candidates must adhere to the rules and regulations regarding marital status, tattoos, and pregnancy.

8. Candidates must pay the examination fee and submit the necessary documents during the online application process.


Salary and Benefits:

1. A monthly package of ₹30,000 will be provided to Agniveers, with a fixed yearly increment.

2. Risk and hardship allowances, dress allowances, and travel allowances will be provided.

3. Agniveers will be eligible for a one-time Seva Nidhi package, life insurance cover, and death compensation.

4. Medical facilities at service hospitals and CSD provisions will be provided.

5. After completion of four years of service, selected candidates may have the opportunity to apply for permanent enrollment in the Indian Navy based on performance.

6. Leave and sick leave benefits will be applicable.
