We focus on data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure to ensure a secure and seamless experience for both employees and customers across all channels.

What You'll Do:

• Manage end-to-end engineering solutions for Machine Learning at scale.
• Integrate data science solutions into real-world products.
• Write efficient and high-quality code that can handle Walmart's massive scale.
• Productionize ML models and address all associated challenges.
• Parallelize algorithms/model training to leverage distributed infrastructure and reduce training time.
• Uphold Walmart's quality standards and develop best practices for the retail industry.
• Research and adapt new technologies to solve problems and enhance existing solutions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy innovative solutions that impact millions of customers worldwide.
• Collaborate with data science teams across Walmart to understand and solve their engineering challenges.
• Identify and utilize open-source tools to deliver product features.
• Deploy and monitor products on cloud platforms.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience OR 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
• Experience analyzing complex problems and translating them into data science algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of core ML areas like forecasting, classification, data/text mining, NLP, decision trees, etc.
• Experience with statistical learning and predictive/prescriptive analytics.
• Experience with big data analytics and identifying trends/patterns in large datasets.
• Strong experience with Python and/or R.
• Strong experience with big data platforms like Hadoop.
• Experience with Teradata, SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Domain knowledge of retail.
• Publications or talks in leading academic/research journals or data science forums.
• Data science-related patents.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
• Experience with GPU/CUDA for computational efficiency.
