Summary:

PayPal is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our team and help us change the way the world pays and gets paid. You will gain valuable experience working with large datasets, conducting analyses, and communicating insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Generate insights by analyzing PayPal's rich data
• Develop a deep understanding of the payments business and site functionality
• Strengthen your analytic, leadership, and presentation skills
• Gain exposure to various functional teams within PayPal
• Understand data visualization and simplify complex data for end-users
• Aggregate data from multiple sources and build data pipelines
• Identify key business drivers and perform analyses to inform data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate with teams like Finance, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and executives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (graduating in 2025)
• Experience with Python, Java, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks, Teradata, Hadoop/Hive, Oracle, JavaScript, SQL, Airflow, Linux, Perl, or PHP (preferred, not all required)
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience handling large datasets and crunching numbers
• Information Retrieval or Human Judgment/User Interface experience (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms and influence peers and senior leadership
