Datavail, one of the largest data-focused services companies in North America, is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Database Administrator (DBA). As a Trainee DBA, you will have the opportunity to work with a global team and gain hands-on experience with the latest SQL technologies. This position is available in our Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore offices in India.
- Provide support in non-production and production environments
- Work in a 24/7 support model
- Serve as the technical service desk and ensure first call resolution (FCR)
- Assist in achieving 25% FCR of the overall ticket volume
- Communicate with customers according to Datavail's customer communication protocol
- Collaborate with Shift Leads/Manager to ensure proper ticket assignment and adherence to SLAs
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to production and development environments under the supervision of Tier 2/Tier 3 DBAs
- Perform basic routine DBA activities and service requests
- Monitor customer production/development environments using various monitoring tools
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Windows Operating System
- Bachelor's degree in a specified discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of working on a production environment
- Familiarity with SQL technologies is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- SQL certifications would be an advantage
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders at various levels
- Professional communication skills: Effectively communicate with mid and senior-level contacts face to face, electronically, and over the phone
