Product Design Internship Opportunity

Position: Product Design Intern  

Location: Bangalore, India  

Duration: 6 months (starting July 2024 or sooner)

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with experienced designers and researchers within Uber's product teams.

- Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing the mobility experience for our users.

- Utilize cutting-edge prototyping tools to bring your design concepts to life.

- Work alongside product teams to ensure the precision and finesse of the final product.

- Engage with Uber's design system, refining it to meet evolving needs and challenges.

- Showcase your work to the Design Team, gaining valuable feedback and portfolio pieces.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Design, with an expected graduation date in 2025.

- Proficiency in English (spoken and written), with a willingness to further develop language skills.

- Availability to commence the internship in July 2024 or earlier.

- A portfolio demonstrating exemplary UI/UX design skills, including academic, hackathon, or competition projects.

  Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with the latest design trends and mobile/web applications.

- Proficiency in motion design, iconography, UX flows, UI visuals, or design engineering.

- Experience in end-to-end product design, from UI to UX.

- Track record of delivering outstanding design solutions across various stages of the release cycle.

Competencies:

- Technical Skills: Interaction & information design, User-Centric Design, Design Thinking, Prototyping Tools (desirable), Behavioral Psychology, User Research.

- Soft Skills: Self-motivated & proactive, Inquisitive, Takes Ownership, Collaborative & receptive to feedback, Diligent & committed, Effective time & stakeholder management.
