Audio Machine Learning Engineer at Google (University Graduate - 2024)

Do you have a passion for audio technology and machine learning? Are you a recent graduate eager to innovate at a global company?

Join Google's Devices & Services team as an Audio Machine Learning Engineer and help us develop next-generation audio features for our Pixel devices and beyond!

About the role:

In this role, you'll be a key member of a small, dynamic team working on cutting-edge audio technologies. You'll design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that leverage machine learning to achieve unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in audio processing tasks.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Develop machine learning models for audio processing and regeneration, enhancement, and analytics
Optimize, port, customize, and validate these models for on-device deployment on Pixel devices
Collaborate with product, research, and software engineers to ensure your solutions meet user needs
Work with tools and architecture teams to streamline deployment and testing processes for Google hardware

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in C/C++ or Python programming and machine learning
  • (Preferred) PhD or Master's degree in signal processing, data science, or machine learning
  • (Preferred) Experience in audio, speech, and machine learning
  • (Preferred) Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and knowledge of embedded systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
