Job Title: Associate, Site Reliability Engineer at Yahoo

About the role:

• As a member of our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you will play a critical role in keeping Yahoo's products and infrastructure running smoothly. You will be responsible for:
• Monitoring, detecting, and triaging issues of varying complexity.
• Assisting in system builds, configuration, patches, and upgrades.
• Developing creative and practical solutions to resolve non-routine problems.
• Building tools to automate deployment, administration, and monitoring.
• Applying your knowledge of system methodologies, designs, and troubleshooting techniques.

What we're looking for:

• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent industry experience (fresh graduates welcome!)
• Experience with Linux and Operating System principles
• Experience with container-based solutions like Docker
• Experience with cloud best practices and services
• Knowledge of one scripting language (Python or JavaScript preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Plus points:

• Knowledge of a system language (C, C++, Go, or Rust)
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, application security, monitoring, and storage
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based orchestration
