About the Role:
As a Data Engineer at IBM, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. You will work with cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, DBT, Unix, and SQL to build data models and pipelines that power our business intelligence systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design ETL processes using Snowflake
- Develop application programs to implement the ETL workflow, including creating ETL jobs and data models in datamarts
- Redesign Control M Batch processing for efficient ETL job execution in production
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems, identify requirements, and develop new systems to improve efficiency and workflow
- Perform various tasks including requirements identification, business program analysis, testing, and system enhancements
- Provide production support
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of working in an Agile environment, along with proficiency in JIRA and Sharepoint tools
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Freshers or experienced candidates welcome
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Unix, and SQL
- Experience with Control M Batch processing
- Experience with Agile methodologies
